Azarmi News

The summer brings new opportunities with ABC Family and full swing with Yokohama. Southern California Association
of Governments is working with UCLA to provide some amazing land use opportunities and Azarmi is there to help.
Our project with the Center for Neighborhood Knowledge and Homeland Security successfully ended in April. We are
now ready for some amazing BBQs and some FLEX-FLASH action!

Software, Engineered
Our software engineering expertise goes beyond simple development or programming. We have industry certification in Java, Flash ActionScript, JavaScript, and Adobe PhotoShop.
Our development process uses the Capability Maturity Model (CMMi) and we follow a strict guideline of ethical and professional standards in both our open and closed source projects.

Disciplined Software Engineering Approach
Our software development teams are based on a variety of project management methods used in the industry to ensure quality deliverables produced on time and within our designated estimate.
Depending on the software requirements, a combination of Scrum, Waterfall, Spiral, or XP will be used to project manage the project. Deliverables for project management include Daily or Weekly conference meetings, Microsoft Project schedules, man month estimations, and real time status reports.

Estimate Policy
Every one of our estimates is based on an empirical mathematical correlation of past projects compared with the scale and scope of the job, ensuring each job is bid as conservatively as possible.

Proposals and Documentation
Each proposal will come with an outline of the customer requirements, use cases, and a proposed high level detailed design. When the bid is approved by the client, a more formal User Requirements Document is produced containing key use cases and user stories. Once the requirements are determined, either a functional specifications document or a software requirements document is created to provide a roadmap for development.

Service Oriented Architecture
We believe that the future of the internet is in Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). Agility, which is the speed by which a company can react to market forces, can be leveraged by exposing core business systems as a set of services. These services can be extended or shared securely, decoupling the core business logic from user experience or decoration. This will improve the efficiency and stability of backend applications while promoting flexibility and extensibility.

Service Oriented Clients
While servers have been undergoing a quiet revolution, web browsers have stayed fundamentally the same. Service Oriented Clients (SOCs) plan to change this by providing high-performance, cross-platform runtimes and integrated support for text, graphics, animation, and audio/video. Adobe Flash technology was the first to offer such capabilities and has quickly risen to the top of modernized client side component architecture. Augmenting Flash is Asynchronous JavaScript and XML (AJAX), and Adobe's contribution, FLEX 2. We have built web sites using all of these included technologies and can provide solid estimates on projects utilizing a customized Service Oriented Client.

Web 2.0
- Web Software 2.0
The web is changing. It was once primarily a tool to information dissemination - "The Information Super Highway".
But as the community of web users grew,
people wanted more then just to publish. They wanted to participate, share and interact with one another.
They started to reach out. People were ready but web software was crude and offered little in the way of
community interaction. So innovative companies started creating new software systems - "Platforms for participation"...
